1. Facebook can be used for chatting with people. Like for instance, you got down with a case of fever??? Then you log on to Facebook... YAY!!! You see your classmate online, so you can talk to him/ her and catch up on what happened in class today.

2. When you are bored, you can just log on to Facebook and see what your friends are up to... SO COOL!!! Then, you can just go on and like go to play Pet Society or something. I know, that game is super OLD.

DANGERS of Facebook

Using Facebook is really fun! But, do you realise the dangers of Facebook? For starters, if you read the papers, you see many innocent kids who just wanna use Facebook in peace get stalked by pedophiles. And if you don't read the papers, I strongly suggest you should. "What are the dangers of Facebook?" You might ask? Well, let me tell you!

  1. Firstly, you might get stalked by pedophiles (as mentioned earlier). Facebook has made it very easy for stalkers and other people to have access to your private information.
  2. Secondly, scammers are creating fake profiles. So you log onto Facebook... la la la... then you suddenly see your friend's name under the request column. So you happily accept your friend's request. OMG! You suddenly realise that you have already added that person! HAHAHA!!! You got owned!
  3. Thirdly, people may post stuff that are not so nice. People, especially children, who use facebook have a high risk of running into not so nice stuff, like pornography, and stuff.
  4. Privacy deverts to a less safe default mode after each redesign. Every time Facebook redesigns the site, which happens a few times a year, it puts your privacy settings back to a default in which, essentially, all of your information is made public. It is up to you to check the privacy settings and choose whether you want to share the information or not.
So, remember what harm people can do to you. be careful and cautious when you log on to facebook next time. Peace. :)

Facebook Scandal!!! AHHH!!!

A Wisconsin teenager convicted of using Facebook to blackmail classmates into sex was sentenced to 15 years in prison, according to an Associated Press report.

Anthony Stancl, 19, plead no contest in December to two felonies, including repeated sexual assault of a child, according to the report. Stancle had been accused of creating a Facebook profile belonging to a nonexistent teenage girl and then, between approximately the spring 2007 and fall 2008, then using it to convince more than 30 of his male classmates to send in nude photos or videos of themselves.

Stancl then reportedly threatened to post the photos or videos on the Internet if they didn't engage in some sort of sexual activity with him. At least seven of them have said they were coerced into sex acts, which Stancl documented with a cell phone camera.

About 300 photos of underage males, some of which were as young as 15 years old, were found on Stancl's computer. Police in the teen's hometown of New Berlin, Wisc., told the AP. Stancl had originally come under police scrutiny in November 2008 after a bomb threat temporarily closed New Berlin High School.
Stancl reportedly showed no emotion as his sentence was read Wednesday but said he had grown to empathize with what his victims went through, the AP reported. He has faced up to 30 years in prison.
